On August 20, RSVP Catering in Fairfax, VA invited the entire TWG staff to their headquarters for a delicious tasting of some of their creative menu offerings.
We began the night mingling in their reception room as waiters served hors d’oeuvres. Six savory and sweet appetizers were passed, including an Asian-inspired item that consisted of tuna on a rice cake with pickled ginger, a mini chicken and waffles treat, and a lamb and hazelnut baklava delicacy.
After enjoying the appetizers, we were brought into a formal dining room for a seated four-course meal around a long table dressed with a beautiful floral tablecloth. As each course was served, a member of RSVP catering staff described the preparation and inspiration behind each dish. All of the fare was delicious, but a particular favorite of our staff was the champagne sorbet topped with strawberry Pop Rocks.
As the decedent chocolate caramel dessert was served, the chef described some of his diverse experience working in kitchens all over the United States and the various locations that he drew his culinary inspirations from. “The food was very imaginative,” said TWG Director Desiree Adams, “and of course, delicious.”
Thank you to RSVP for hosting this delightful evening for TWG staff!
